More insult to the Muslim world

As I had previously mentioned about the cartoon, the story continues. I remember thinking that the Danish paper has very right and should republish the cartoons, but then I'm always provoking religion. But it seems I wasn't the only one with that idea!! BURN!! It just goes to show what the problem with the middle east: they don't even understand the concept of freedom! Not even freedom of thought (obviously I'm pointing to devout religious majority, not the sensible secularists... my homies)! They already can't eat some stuff, dance, drink, date etc, so I guess they have great poetry?

Now I think all religions/cults are stupid but when the people can't even conceive of freedom what's the point of trying to engage them. Maybe we should let them catch up to us.

Just because it's blasphenmous doesn't mean it's hate mongering. The whole point of freedom of expression is that nothing is allowed to be sacred! It was and is those "sacred" taboos that put us back in time as a society. Not being allowed to question or comment on something, anything!!

The Muslims do not have the right to dictate what is blasphemous, nor do the Christians, Hindus, Buddists or Scientologists! Almost any comment can find someone who will be offened. Freedom of expression means letting others say what you don't like (different from hate mongering which is pushing for violence against a group... like Hamas for instance).

See you hve it right, just backwards. It's not the number of people that matters because someone will always find it offensive so you let everyone say anything and let people mature enough to be able to ignore what they don't like! Your only insulted if you let yourself be insulted (sticks and stone will break my bone but cartoons will never hurt me). And people do pubish justifications to child molestation etc, we just don't listen.

It is not the State that has published these cartoons it is citizens of the countries! The states are the ones under attack (I guess out of ignorance). People choose tehre beliefs. Just because you have beliefs doesn't mean I'm not allowed to critize them! In Briton the Jedi are now an official religion, does that mean I can't critize Star Wars! Is Spaceballs basphemous!?! Oh, I guess it doesn't count since it's not old/sacred. So if we take an indiginous belief that is older than the Jews that says eating a Fox is wrong since one of their gods takes the form of a Fox we should never say it is ok to eat Foxes!?!
You believe in free will, surely that entiles (from god since that's whom you think the inaliable rights come form) people to be blasphemous?

The government is not responible to foreign citizens! That's the beauty of democracy! No country will back foreigners against their citizens, that's completely contrary to the role of government. The citizens should be free of government intervention and protected from foreign threats. The countries doing the boycott agreed (in the WTO treaty) to play by some rules. If they break those rules there will be consequences. besides the sanctions hurt one country, if those European countries stop aid and investing in their economies the Middles east will lose a lot more.

The point is the governments are responsible to their citizens, not foreigners. The citizens have the freedom from their government and it is their governments job to make them free from foreign attackers.

I guess the middle east doesn't know this since they have oppressive governments.
